Competition Competition within the barbershop world helps keep us focused on raising the bar of performing excellence. Each year in April or May, dozens of choruses and quartets from across Australia come together to gauge their own improvement and to celebrate the achievements of other choruses at regional competition.
The winners perform entertaining packages on the Showcase concert so if you're anywhere near
International Once a year the winners of all regional contests -- and a few "wildcards" -- gather together at International competition. In 2011 International competition will be held in Houston, TX on October 20-24. You can view the complete contest on a live webcast on the Sweet Adelines International website. This is the ultimate female barbershop competition -- not to be missed!
